I'm thinking about ordering a FP241w. What's OcUK's the policy on Dead Pixels? Or if it's manufacturer specific, does anyone know BenQ's policy on dead pixels?

Thanks

ok, thanks. Would be nice if we could get some kind of insurance, like in America, where you can pay a bit extra for a guarenteed no dead-pixel screen.

What's the threshold of acceptibility according to OcUK, the DSR or BenQ, before I can get it swapped? Obviously I hope I don't get more then 2-3, but if the limit is something stupid like 10 I may have to re-think my options.

The DSRs have no restriction in terms of dead pixels, it's just about you buying something online which you haven't seen in person and being able to cancel the purchase once you've seen it. You do lose out a little though with postage costs since you pay to send it back and may not get your original postage refunded. Take very good care of monitor and all packaging and accessories though. Retailers hate the DSRs of course.

Don't know if OcUK even have a dead pixel policy since they always try to pass you on to the manufacturer rather than deal with the problem themselves, which is a little naughty, but also usually gets the customers problems solved quicker.

Last time I checked there were some UK retailers who did dead pixel checks.

Benq policy should be on their website.
