Morning All,
I thought this to be the most appropriate sub-forum, mods please move or delete if necessary.
I captured the registration plate of the vehicle that a Workman parked on my drive yesterday morning via my CCTV. He knocked/rang the bell and had a job-sheet in hand though the house was vacant. 30 minutes later I proceeded to watch him try to gain entry to my property 3 times via my front door and twice via each rear door with what looked like keys but could have been small tools.
It may very well be coincidence but having evicted a lodger recently (which has been perfectly amicable) understandably I was a little on edge. In hindsight it's most likely a case of mistaken address and he could well have popped to the sales office to collect keys, as some of the development is still under construction. Though it's not unheard of for criminals to hide in plain sight.
The police attended and my property was still secure. I've since called 101 to request they pass my contact details to the registered business so I can pacify my mind, it is a Locksmith but due to Data-Protection are unwilling to do so.
I know a few users here might be able to provide a business name or number due to the nature of their profession within the motor-trade. If any of them are reading this and are happy to PM me, please do so and I can share the footage to legitimise all of the above.
Thanks in advance,
BennyC
