I'm actually quite happy with my current line up. I'd like a newer GPU with more VRAM but that's purely for davinci resolve. 5900X 64GB ram water cooled (did just buy a new block though).

Yes I wouldn't want to take that risk either. What is this reference card priced at ? As there seems to be good number of aib cards priced decently.

They were flogging them for 650 up until the day the other cards launched, then it dropped down to current pricing.
Wow that's a big drop. Wonder if the whole range will drop a bit now as 200 more for the 7900xt seems a lot and the 7800xt etc could do with a bit of a bump down.

Incidentally when is Linux RoCM support coming for the 7800xt? Or is it never? The GRE was added to RocM 6.0 recently.
I think it’s (7800xt) supported on Windows so hopefully will come soon to Linux.
