Hi Guys

Hopefully this is the start of great things to come from Mionix at OcUK.

We have teamed up with Mionix to offer their new Avior gaming mouse as an Overclockers UK Exclusive. The Avior is perfect for FPS gaming and has really grabbed the attention of competitive gamers since its launch.

The SK Gaming edition moves away from garish esports sponsored peripherals and stands out without 'standing out' by using subtle accents to differentiate it.

as many of you guys will know, SK Gaming are one of the premier Esports organizations in Europe and their recent signing with Mionix says a lot about the quality of the products.

We will be working closer with Mionix in the UK by offering a small range focussed on the demands of gamers.

The official gaming mouse of SK Gaming, the AVIOR SK is a premium 9 button ambidextrous mouse. The unique ergonomic shape has been developed to be used by either right or left-handed gamers, and to support a palm or claw grip.

The ADNS-3310 gaming grade optical sensor delivers no positive or negative hardware acceleration, amazing accuracy, smooth tracking, and a maximum speed of more than 5.45m/sec (215 IPS) all the way up to 7000DPI.

With the new lift off distance (LOD) Calibration feature we have combined the Surface Quality Analyzer Tool (S.Q.A.T ™) with adjustment of the lift off height to find the lowest possible LOD with optimized tracking.

The lightning fast 32bit ARM™ processor enables the mouse to have many features without compromising the tracking of the sensor. The downloadable software provides access to fully customize all buttons, sensor settings, LED colors, macros and profiles.

That's quite possibly the single laziest esports tie in I've ever seen. It's not even like it's subtle enough to excuse like if it had been dark grey and black... Not one for me imo, if they'd at least made it navy to match the team colours I could see some merit to it. I don't have a problem with Mionix as a brand generally but this isn't subtle, nor do I think it's really fair to say that other esports have "garish" tie in peripherals - more often than not it's the special edition game tie ins (Razer w/ Battlefield etc., Steelseries with WOW etc.) that are garish while the eports ones are more muted like Razer with EG and CLG

Just looks like a Zowie ripoff tbh, but I welcome the more subtle design than most of the esports ugly stuff!

im not so sure, most of the esports stuff I am presented with is mental looking to stand out. fnatic stuff by steelseries looks ace in my opinion but the sales never really reflected that.

the NaVi stuff was also quite a poor seller but i thought it looked really nice.

this mouse is pretty subdued and I understand that it will have been the esports team rather than the manufacturer having the final say in the colour scheme.

they have a gaming surface which i will be taking some stock of when available and that is pretty good looking.

I have been using a mionix gaming surface myself for a long time and I cant speak highly enough of it.

thats a good thing imho. simple mice are always the best.

i hate these angular monstrosities that companies insist on pushing on gamers. I cant see how anyone can use one and think it is comfortable.

Depends what you mean by angular, my Func MS-3 is the single most comfortable mouse I've ever used as I have pretty long fingers

see, this is a problem we have in the market really.

Zowie are very good value for money which makes other mice look expensive.

I would put this on the level with things like the deathadder and sensei

HI This is Richard from MIONIX, if you have any questions about this or any other product i will try and answer them for you.

Hi Richard, can you confirm where the buttons on the side are? In one picture it looks like they are on the left and not the right, but in another it looks like they are on the right (and you can't see the left)

They are 2 buttons on each side, but you can disable any buttons via the software.

I think lazy is the wrong word, if you look at the recent rebranding from SK Gaming they have really gone for a clean look. We tested the mouse in many different colour combinations before we both decided on this design. The LED on the logo can be blue if that floats your boat:)

Why did you choose to have the SK logo on the 'LED palm' of the mouse, rather than say, the Mionix one?

It's a great logo, but I'd only want to display a can tag I was a member of (maybe that's just me!) ;)
