Hi there

A lot of people are fedup with all 24" monitors now being 1920x1080 resolution. The last few remaining 1920x1200 monitors are generally very expensive and older LCD technology.

Working with DGM we have another exclusive IPS panel for you:-

DGM IPS-2402WDH 24" LED Widescreen Professional Monitor - Black @ £199.99 inc VAT

MO-005-DG_400.jpg

The IPS-2402WDH is DGM's new 1920x1200 resolution monitor built around LED backlight LG IPS panels. Featuring a 1920x1200 resolution, these monitors are ideal for creative professionals and gamers who demand nothing but the very best. IPS panels are preferred for their superior true color values, the most consistent image and a superior viewing angle as compared to other LCD technologies.

The DGM IPS-2402WDH features the same high resolution LED LG IPS panels found in other 24" professional displays. Video content bypasses scalers making the DGM IPS-2402WDH ideal for gaming and multimedia video production. The superfast 5ms response [grey to grey] minimises streaking and ghosting resulting in visibly less smear and blur around fast moving objects.

£200 notes for a proper 1920x1200 resolution monitor with a quick response IPS panel, not bad I say. :)

Nice, seems like a good price point, not sure I can stretch to another 27inch 1440 screen. Any idea when you are expecting stock?

Well this has made my Christmas present that tad bit more difficult lol.

Had the BenQ GW2750HM sitting in my basket ready to go. £200 for a superior monitor minus 3" coverage.....hmmm.

Really its worth giving up inches for quality.

I've had an NEC mva 24" screen for 3 years before I upgraded and it cost £400 when I bought it but really should have been £600.

I have just swapped to a 27" dgm as finally there was a bigger screen which matched the quality (well came close)

I would never have a TN screen and always worth it for an IPS screen IMO.

27" crap screen or 24" quality screen? No choice really ;)

Oh and 1200 high screen are rare as hen's teeth now and really you are not losing mcuh versus 16:9 27" screens.

My old screen was a 16:10 and my new screen is the same height, just a little bit wider so not much in it.

Well if responsiveness and input lag decent enough for gaming then it a deffo winner. Can't go back to a TN Panel...3D, 120hz or whatever can keep it.

How does the old MVA screen compare with the IPS screen?

I own a Dell IPS screen and in terms of graphics (and colour reproduction) it is inferior to my PVA panel. For text, the IPS is better.

Which do you prefer VA or IPS?

To be honest I prefer VA screens. VA>IPS>TN.

I would never have a TN screen. The quality on IPS is pretty good and if you never had a VA screen then you wouldn't notice the difference.

I miss the wow factor of the VA screen if that makes sense? It seems "dull" in comparison. Especially miss the black depth. I think my NEC had 900:1 ratio whereas the new DGM is only 400ish.

However, loving the 1440p and extra inches so a fair tradeoff overall.

These are my thoughts exactly.

I think the deeper blacks make colours look more vivid.

The way I would describe the DELL IPS screen is, as if somebody captured the image, put it in a washing machine, was the image for about 10 hours and after the image lost some colour, the image was stuck back onto the screen.

For text (grey on white), DELL wins, but for graphics and movies, the older VA wins by country mile.

My VA screen was 3.5 yrs old when I bought the Dell and I after hearing so many positive things about IPS, I was sorely dissapointed and quite shocked that in 3.5 yrs, monitor technology on mid ranged monitors had not improved (apart from power usage).

I'm glad that someone else understands where I am coming from.
