Hi there

The keyboard issue is simply because Razer don't officially offer this product in the UK and won't be in the near future, so the exclusivity is huge because were the sole importer and the maximum we can get is 30 units and our first delivery is 10, if they sell we can get upto 20 more. If they don't sell were stuck with 10 very nice laptops. :)

As such the only way we can offer these to UK customers is by importing them. As such any issues and OcUK handles the RMA, we do the support.

I'd still rather have a P150 Clevo or m14xr2 than this laptop though and I'd spend over a grand less! Perhaps I could put it towards my Ferrari 458 fund....

Agreed, we sell the P150 Clevo based laptops and yes they are a lot better value for money. :)

But as Rich has said, this Razer Blade is like the Ferrari amongst laptops, its got the performance and it most definetely has the looks and unique design, that is why people buy Ferrari's and not GTR's. Exclusivity, brand, looks, rareness and their heritage.

GTR buyers want supercar performance without supercar price and we also offer that with our own OcUK laptops (Clevo based). :)

kudos to ocuk for being proactive, but i was disappointed as hell when the razer released this product. there are, at least in america, similar spec but dual 7970m laptops for less. for a company wishing to bring back pc gaming it's not really doing much good is it :/. at least it's better than the indefensible 555m/dual core they were planning to use.

It's not all about performance though, the build quality is pretty much un-rivalled and the laptop itself is a work of art. Plus it's ultra rare and exclusive!

Would I buy one? No I'd buy the OcUK 7970M based laptops, way faster, half the price, but everyone has different taste and requirements. :)

Would be interested in finding out what the import costs of these bad boys are.

I like the lappy but the price gives me a heart attack :o

USD price divided by 1.55.

Add Shipping

Then add VAT (20%) and other applicable duties and admin charges.

Normally for an import, simple and easiest way is take USD price, divide it by 1.55 and then add 30%.

If your mega lucky, sometimes you might not get custom charges and not end up paying VAT/Duty etc.
