OCUK EZCool NA-705 Case Mesh Modding, Should i do it?

hi guys.

i currently have the following case OCUK EZCool NA-705 Case and i know its not the best case in the world but so far its been ok.

im looking to put a few extra fans in it to improve the airflow which i have already bought im just looking for some advice as to weather modding the grill on the front where the fan will be behind is benifical at all.

the lower metal mesh is really fine and has quite a thick foam insert behind it. which i reckon is quite restrictive.

what i was considering doing was to mod one of these. now my ones arent exactly the same but similar to give you an idea.

i intend to mod one of the fan filter shrouds to sit in the recess where the fine mesh sits. looking at it it doesnt seem a hard job at all a bit of dremel work and all should be good.

im just wandering if i would benifit from doing this? i can see 2 pros in that the new foam is thinner and not as dense and that the fan filter isnt as restrictive as the mesh.

any opinions would be great guys.

My immediate thought is just get some thinner foam....

i had thought of using the foam from my spare fan filter instead of the current foam.

heres a picture of the actual fan filter design

its not going to cost me anything to do the mod and its not much to do just thought with the added holes it would improve the airflow.
