Hello,

As many of you know, we have been using the "add poll" function to rate the F1 grand prix racing. In my opinion it has proved popular and is interesting to see what posters find entertaining, boring etc.

It wasn't until recently that I realised I couldn't remember the last time we'd failed to add a poll to the thread, so I went for a dig. In a nutshell, a poll has been added to every grand prix thread since Spa 2016... almost 2 years ago :)

Here are some interesting stats and facts...

Ratings - dropped from an average of 5.94 to 4.88 per race
Posts per thread - dropped from 501 to 350 last year (Currently at 400 per thread in 2018)
Highest rated race - 8/10 - Baku (2017, 2018)*
Lowest rated race - 1/10 - Monaco (2017, 2018)*
Highest rated European race - Baku (2017, 2018)
* - other GPs rated these scores, but these circuits were the ones most consistent.

Championship decided 2016 - Race 21/21 (Rosberg)
Championship decided 2017 - Race 18/20 (Hamilton)

Most popular thread - 938 posts - Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2016, Yas Marina - Race 21/21
Least popular thread - 124 posts - Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2017, Yas Marina - Race 20/20
Best end of season - 2016 - 1855 posts in final 2 threads
Worst end of season - 2017 - 329 posts in final 2 threads
Fun fact - the 2017 season was the first since 1994 in which the reigning champion did not compete (Rosberg)

OP
I wanted to do a breakdown of the number of votes, as it appeared to me that the number of votes fluctuates massively over the past ~2 years.

It was already too late but the time I’d noticed how much the number of votes changed so I didn’t bother going back.

I also wanted to see if certain key events (like the WDC being decided) affected the results but that would be even more work :p
