Has anyone at OCUK had chance to play with one yet? How well does the Windforce cool the 290x?

Very well, whilst remaining quiet, looking 65c-75c region, turn the fans up, still way quieter than a 290 reference card, around 55c.

We've now sold way over 50pc already.

Quite a premium, but I am sure they will sell regardless.

How much extra performance do you get vs. the ref, lets say you want to keep the noise at the same level as ref would at quiet mode?

In theory, the 290 from Gigabyte as it has a 1040MHz clock, should pretty much give reference 290X performance with zero throttling and little to no noise.

Do these come with a backplate, like the windforce 780ti?
