check the poll and place your vote.

I can see where this is going from the nominations thread. :p

agreed by everyone that PC gaming has been let down a bit this year.
a lot of false starters and titles that promised so much but were easily forgotten.

if you take the time to vote, please take a moment to post your thoughts on the game you chose, why you chose it, and most importantly a few sentances on what mad the game great for you. :)

Fallout New Vegas

Admittedly it did launch with a lot of bugs - but if you get past these you will find a great game. One with a rich story, interesting characters, massively improved combat (compared to Fallout 3) and a very active modding community.

Bad company 2, fancied a change from the COD series, something with a bit more of a teamplay factor. Id had BF2 and SF years ago so knew what to expect. What makes it great for me is the squad element, and the endless pursuit of ranking up, unlocking new weapons and equipment etc. One gripe though, the ea server browser isnt the best but ill forgive the game that minor indiscretion.

Hands down, Bad Company 2, without a shadow of a doubt in my opinion.

Multiplayer is simply epic and I have subsequenty sank many hours into that game. It has eclipsed everything else out there this year and has even toppled the Cod series from its perch, well, it most certainly has them rattled.

I went for Bioshock 2.

Whilst I've put a fair few hours into BFBC2, and I've had some epic matches that gripped me, it came second to the sheer mavity of Bioshock 2's story line. Sure, the gameplay wasn't that much different from the first, but as a plot-driven shooter, I rate it second only to HL2.

I've not played many on that list.

I enjoyed Mafia II and Black Ops and have also enjoyed SCII.

I'll probably go for Cataclysm as I've fallen in love with WoW as a result of this.

My game of ther year all platforms in Heavy Rain, hands down, outstanding.

Despite my love of the STALKER and Fallout series their last two offerings where a step down (well fallout nv was better than fo3 but that was terrible) from their previous ones so BC2 wins for me.

2009 title?

+1 to this. Fallout NV merely an evolution of Fallout 3 in the right direction. They should start it from scratch again.

Bad Company 2 was not a disappointment at all.
