Hi,

Has anyone tried one of these and are they any good? I'm tempted to buy one and have a play with watercooling. Also, how big will the box be as I'll have to take it home on the train.

Cheers,

Blue

It's relatively custom isn't it? I mean it's all separate pieces that can be bought from the shop and the waterblock is quite good from what I understand.

It is custom as it uses XSPC and EK parts. The CPU block is good, one of the best, Ive used it in the past.
The only things I'd prefer to change would be the radiator and maybe pump/reservoir.

A thermochill 120.1 will cool better than that but if you want to overclock to a decent level I'd say you'd need a 120.2.

The box wont be that big, easy to carry on the train I'd expect :)

From the looks of it it's an okay kit. The only real weak link the the pump. A mate of mine has just bought one so i'll let you know how he gets on. It should be here Tuesday.

Depends what you want to cool with it. If your going to push say a Q6600 to 3.6+ then its not enough, if you want to cool more than just the CPU then its not enough. Personnaly i would go custom once you have worked out exactly what you need, if you decide to cool the NB and GFX at a later date then you may need to upgrade the Pump so my advice would be to plan ahead thinking what you want to WC and what you may want to WC in the future.

Going to be putting up a more beefy setup that we will be using on our more high end watercooling builds.

D5 Vario Pump
EK Supreme CPU block
Bay Res
etc.

The pump adds a fair bit of cost and setup time to the build though. The bundle is just there due to demand for them really as we did not originally plan to offer the items bundled and available for purchase, was a forum'ers idea that one! :)

Yewen: Would you be interested in offering a discount on bundles made with the highest spec products? Say a kit that would normally cost somewhere in the region of £260 when bought separetely, would cost £230 when bought as a bundle from OcUk?

I am open to any suggestions.

If you have a bundle in mind feel free to drop the list of components you are thinking about in here and I will see if it is worth making a bundle. :)
