Hi,

I purchased this card and I'm now on my third card.
I sent 2 back via RMA's and they were both found faulty.
Problem being is when displaying at 1280x960 above 60hz the display has lines bottom left of the screen.
The first two cards I had were HIS and now a replacement has been received "my third card" :( which is made by PowerColour and the same problem.

Got me thinking, do all these cards have this problem or is it a drivers issue?
Different brands but the same problem? I just don't think I'm that unlucky to receive 3 different cards that are faulty.

Has anyone else got this problem?
I only found this out due to playing battlefield 2142 at the top resolution which is 1280x960 resolution.

Every other resolution is fine.

Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

Thanks Jungleman

If you've experienced this same problem with three different cards, then I'd be inclined to think it's a driver/software issue. Then when I hear that this only happens at one resolution, and it's fine in all other resolutions, my belief that it's a driver/software issue is confirmed.

I'm not sure about the specifics. You could try browsing some ATI forums for a similar problem. Someone on here may have had a similar experience, or may know of a fix.

For now, I'd recommend trying some different drivers, and possibly a reformat.

Just as a work around so you can play BF2142, do you know you can do custom res by adding, for example, +szx 1280 +szy 1024 to the short cut.

Thanks for the work around and the advice, I have already tried a format but same problem :(

Why did overclockers find it faulty? I would like some other owners to try it on that resolution above 60mhz and tell me what they get.

I've tried on xp and vista and the same outcome.
