Bit of a strange request, but I'm trying to track down an old programmer Steve Sutton who wrote a number of titles for the Sinclair QL in the late 1980s. He wrote the excellent ACT (Adventure Creation Tool), which I'm currently using to create my own game. I'd love to get in touch, and also see if I could get the tool re-released as freeware.
The only facts I've found so far, is that he used a PDP-11 at work.(Mid to late 80s?) Programmed it in Fortran, and also wrote a game for that called Imagin, running on RT11 or TSX.
In the 80s then 90s, he lived in Dorking, Surrey, then Woking, Surrey.
And someone who once knew him said "He used to work for the agency that tested air pollution from nuclear and perhaps other power plants (if that helps) - basically, he was paid to fly model aeroplanes".
I think he would be in his mid 60s to 70s.
The world can be a small place sometimes, so fingers crossed!
I know we have some excellent detectives on here!
I've searched for the name with pdp-11, fortran, (all the QL searches are known to me). I've have no idea what the agency was, I don't think it was the environment one.
