OCUK IP35-S

I have one! :) Its a pretty good board (though i only played with it for a few hours before having to leave it at home and head back up to uni).

Im trekking back home tomrrow for about 36 hours (family birthday) so ill give it a go once iv re-installed windows (apparently its not working) and checked if i have the right bios on it (i have a suspicion it has the pro bios on it which is sort of ammusing as it worked fine)

What cpu are you interested for it? iv got an E8200 and 4gig of OCZ ram (in 2x2gig modules)

Well i have a 2180 atm, and planning on getting a new mobo before upgrading CPU

Been thinking of the 8400

Ahoy, im finally back on the main land at my propper desktop pc (as in sig basically except im using vista 32 for the day). Right on my very first (an not very test worthy test) iv got an instant boot at 8x400 (which is the 1600fsb) which is a pretty good start getting my E8200 to 3.2ghz with no strain (temps according to core temp havnt changed). Im debating out of the games i currently have what would be best to stress this (and how far i want to push the fsb...)

For your E2180 this could be a fun board to have a go on (as its the 10x multiplier i think so the 1333fsb i go at default would be an amazing oc for the chip).

Ill come back later on to see where the oc is going :)

Edit:

Entertaining extra, i just noticed my ram is running at 5:6 with the fsb so its doing 480mhz (960ddr2 speed) which is awesome! but has reminded me there are really only 2 ram modes (1:1 and "auto" which is 5:6 or 5:4 i think) which could be a limiting factor to an overclock.

But i do really recomend OCZ 2x2gig pc6400 kit! just for doing this by accident :)

i've got the pro version of this board. V good board but with the 200mhz fsb cpus they seem to hit a wall at about 360mhz. However with quads and higher fsb chips (including the e8*** series) they seem to do very well.

Right to conclude my mini test (basically what would windows boot with before i feel like sleep) and i got the board to do 480! :) (which is just of the 2ghz fsb). This equates to my E8200 to do 3.8 ghz (ish) with slightly more about 1.26 volts

Heres the cpuz validation http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=363429

Had to put a teeney weeney bit more though the ram but the board its self its very very capable.

Overall i probably could have just pushed for 4ghz which isnt too shabby...
