These 780 prices will be short lived and will be gone in October as the newer 980 will be here at a higher price.

AMD 290 price is already like £260 at OcUK, whereas our competitors are £299 no signs of it moving further as 290 is a great seller.

Or buy the Powercolor 290 at £294 and sell the free 8GB RAM kit and free games, should fetch you £60-£75, that's £230 for a 290 making AMD's offers very attractive and were selling about a 100 a week on that one sku alone. :)

Higher prices doesn't surprise me since they will have 4GB VRAM, and will presumably have a little more performance as well. However, if you said they had higher prices than the equivalently performing 4GB cards that are around now it would persuade me to get my wallet out for the 700 series (probably the 780 if the reference cooler is quiet enough)
