Heh i'm a mintsrel hobbit too, as the mrs is a guardian. We got loads of healers? :D

We got our little fella's (and felletts) to lvl 6/7 we did the introduction and then parked them up.

Toneh

Another hobbit mini here too, though i'm thinking of trying another class.
My main is a 65 champ, but might try a caster of some sort next (always generaly played a meathead)

My highest toon is an elf mini, 53 at the moment, but I'm struggling with him, Moria just goes on and on and on :)

Make sure you buy sunglasses for when your done with Moria ;)

The game is very well balanced with its light and dark areas, the starting areas tend to be bright and colourful e.g. Shire, Ered Luin, etc then the depressing gloom of Angmar and Moria but then comes the simply gorgeous Lothlórien followed by the down right evil gloom that is Mirkwood.

GA tonight folks, meet around 18-19:00 @ Ost Guruth for pre-quests :)

We'll advertise in /LFF if we haven't got enough on, been questing in Lonelands lately & there's always a group or two going.

Are we getting the Agamaur quests done between 7 and 8 so that everyone has the same stuff going in to GA?

Ideally I'll be home at 4:30 today so I'll try to finish book 2 and get some levels to refamiliarise myself with the place.

That's what I meant by meet around 18-19 for pre-quests :D

Also, Deadbeat - mastered expert weaponsmith yet? Need you to crit on some daggers dammit >< Hopefully the 200 Rich Iron was enough, but got about 50 more if needed.

Currently downloading the installer thingy. Any tips on what class / race for a begginner? I love paladin on Wow and mage, well what they used to be. What sort of thing would that equate to on Lotro?

LOTRO classes to a large extent don't mirror the more usual stereotypes in mmo's. About the closest thing to a paladin would be a captain, given that he can tank, buff and do some limited healing. Plays completely differently though.

Closest to a mage would actually be a hunter, since they're the primary nuker. The loremaster is the closest thing lotro has to a wizard, but he's a mix of crowd control, pet class, debuffer.

I'd recommend hunter to start with, fun class with a lot of utility.

make sure you download from lotro EU site (codemasters) not the lotro.com site, i made that mistake!

maybe a captain ~wow paladin runekeeper/loremaster ~ mage

bit difficult to match them tbh.

Turbine, need to change I guess?

Is there a totally different client for US?

I can't believe i'm going to have go wait for it to download again :(

Yeah, Codemasters handle the EU accounts. I made the same mistake a few weeks back, the client situation is a bit rubbish but at the same time I do think it helps community wise. Start now and hopefully it'll be done in a few hours, then you can join us when most of us are online :).
