Warden's a good class, i'm a Hobbit Warden at level 41. It's tough to get used to the class because of the way the gambit system works for warden, but it is a good class once you get the gist of how it's meant to be played.

It's basically a DPS tank that can heal itself [small amounts] over time that doesn't last very long, good consistent DPS and defense overall though.

Anyone having problems logging in? Keeps saying 'the underlying connection was closed'.

Maintenance today, servers are currently offline.

Don't forget that today is maintenance day. Maintenance will affect all players of The Lord of the Rings Online™, Dungeons & Dragons Online™, and users of our Player Account System (PAS). They'll be back online at approximately 15.00 hours, UK time (GMT + 1).

During this time, players will be unable to:

•Create or amend game subscriptions

•Purchase premium services

•Create new forum accounts using PAS

•Access the LOTRO Lorebook

•Submit support tickets from our web-based ticket system

•Log into our games

If you are getting a 403 Forbidden message, this is due to the servers being down for maintenance.

If you have difficulty working out what time that is for you in your country, try using a site such as timeanddate.com which has useful time conversion tools.

Thanks for your patience!

Maintenance Day ;)

Yeah, it just got to that point. Before, it wouldn't show that part of the client - just kept cropping up with that underlying connection crap. Damn maintenance day.

Edit: Seems most people have swung toward Laurelin, and I'd imagine many of you have rolled up some characters. Time for a names list?

Caelgwyn - lv 16 runekeeper, currently polishing off the starter region before shipping out to Bree-Land. One of my pack's full of recipes I can't use for scholar, jeweller, woodworker, armourer and weaponsmith, so if anyone wants em they're up for grabs. If you've got any tailor recipes you don't need, send em my way.

Down weekly on a Thursday?

Lately they have been, it used to be Tuesday but i think they moved it to a Thursday. I have to give the devs credit though, other MMO games i've played like SWG, they don't cater for the european's, they shared the same downtime as the american's so they're down at 12pm-4-5pm during the day.

Depends if you wanna pay the premium or not. I know there'll already be a few high-rollers on Laurelin, but I kinda like the idea of starting up the guild from scratch.

I have a couple of 50's, but I've got no shortage of level 10 characters I want to level too, so I won't imagine it'll be any biggie.

Incidentally, if anyone one wants some decent low level med or light armour, drop a bunch of hides to Grimbane, and I'll do you something up. From memory he's mastered artisan, so should be able to match anything dropped up to the 30's.

I started playing this yesterday and instantly decided that I would cancel my other MMO accounts and get the lifetime sub. I'm pretty big into pve and love soloing too. I'm currently playing a level 7 guardian on Laurelin and would re-roll a similar character on whatever server you choose for the kinship.

Can I get in - won't be back home til 24th May but would love to be in an ocuk kinship.

So we getting this kinship going when the realms are live? Cant wait :D

Still trying to think of a name with ocuk starting letters but its a bloody sod :p

Is it worth picking this up again? I get bored of wow easily but I still have an idle LOTR account, might be worth trying again if theres going to be an ocuk kinship?

We still need a guild leader as well - one of the high rollers with little or no kinship ties of their own perhaps? I've got a bunch of semi-useful stuff I can't bring myself to sell, recipes and resins and the like, that would probably help other noobs.
