I just wanted to post this after seeing something on a competitors website which allowed customers to customize certain aspects of their laptops. The main things that they could do was:
- Add a custom thermal compound to the CPU
- Change the wireless card in the laptop
Obviously there's limits to what can be done and i'd guess that there are strict rules in regards to this but i'd love to be able to get a better thermal compound applied inside my laptop before purchase etc. Especially as for a lot of these thin notebooks as overheating is a significant issue (As i've found with my GS70).
It's just an idea anyway, something i'm sure many people would love to see from Overclockers. I'd love to know if there's any plans to do something like this in the future
