Right guys, planning to stock up on some handheld goodness.

Could you peeps who want some input maybe give me your top five, and why you think they are worthy of a purchase?

Animal Crossings

Those are the ones i've played and really enjoyed.
 
I've only had it 4 months but I've played and enjoyed:

1 - Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords
2 - Phoenix Wright
3 - Animal Crossing (I know)
4 - Hotel Dusk
 
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 2 - Justice For All
New Super mario Bros
Sonic Rush
Starfox
Brothers in Arms
Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan
 
Settlers/Sim City if your into that kind of thing :)

Hate to echo everyone else, but Hotel Dusk is superb.

Another Code is another great game - Cing created both Hotel Dusk and Another Code. So they're quite similar but still very good games.
 
1. Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! (Or get Elite Beat Agents if you cba with the Japanese :p)
Just insanely fun, one of the most replayable games I've ever played and shows off the DS briliantly.

2. Advance Wars
3. New Super Mario Bros
4. Mario and Luigi: Partners In Time
5. Yoshi's Island

6. Sonic Rush
7. 42 All Time Classic
