OCUK Memory only running at 800Mhz ?

Hi,

A mate of mine has bought some OcUK 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit as well as a Gigabyte GA_P35_DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard.

In the BIOS the memory is only running at 800Mhz instead of the 1066Mhz. Is this right or is overclocking required to get to the 1066Mhz ?

Thanks for the speedy reply, I told him to buy the RAM so felt a bit responsible for the problem
