I might be in the wrong thread here! but i could,nt find a thread for Tablets.
Does anyone know if this tablet is any good?.
I,m thinking of buying 3 for my grandkids.
I bought a tablet a few months back but soon returned it because it was slow and i mean slowwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Theres no reviews of this 1 so i,m wondering if anyone has any info on them?
Cheers Max

Depends what your expecting from it - specs says A8 multicore @ 1.2GHz and Mali-400 which isn't terrible tho not earth shattering. I'd be more concerned by the low screen res and probably very average quality panel but looks like your getting a fairly decent bit of kit for your money if your a casual user.

Well i,m thinking of buying for a 9year old 7 yr and a 5 yr.....and there used to using my i pad so i think they would be some what dissapointed !.Looks like its going to have to be a nexus!
thanks for your thoughts guys

Hi there

Some key points:-
1. Don't expect an Ipad, there is a reason they cost £100's, because they excellent!
2. For sub £100 this is a very good tablet, its why we are offering them!

If you want to browse the web, facebook, check emails and play tablet type games like Angry birds, they are absolutely fine for such task.

The screen is TN so needs to be looked at head on or from slight above to get best image. Tablets with IPS screens are still well over £100 even for the cheap ones, so right now the sub £100 tablet market is TN screen based models.

Battery life is however quite good, circa 7-9hrs. :)

I've had a play with this and think it's great - of course it doesn't compare to an iPad and it's not trying to compete with them. I play loads of app games and it really is ideal for that purpose, its also great for everyday web browsing, email sending, Facebooking etc.

I'm likely to be getting one for my 18yo daughter and am considering one for my Dad for Christmas too.

The screen is a little dark when you are not head on due to the screen type, but if you're using a device you're going to be looking right at it most of the time so that's not a problem at all. The best thing for me is the battery life, my little netbook and my ancient laptop don't come close to 7 hours!

For the price its great and I think lots of girlfriends & family members would be to happy to receive one at Christmas. I'm a massive Android fan anyway and have never not been able to find what I wanted in the Play store :D

me too, had a play with this and think it's great - of course it doesn't compare to an iPad and it's not trying to compete with them.

I dont expect it to compete with an I pad ! your right thats why they cost £400 plus.......................but i aint, wont, cant, pay out £1200 for my grand kids!..just for the 4 and 7yr olds to get bored with them!.So maybe a nexus for my 9 yr old and the 2 little uns can have 1 of these each!.:D

I think this would be perfect for them, even the 9 year old! :D
