Good idea for the theme. Unfortunately, I have to say the image is spoilt by the nasty grey background, which makes up a substantial portion.

A great shot that misses the mark due to the focus being behind the droplet. The background could also be slightly less cluttered.

The droplet needs to be in focus here and the grey backdrop takes up to much space in the background.

Englishpremier
Nice spot. Obviously it's not the sort of image that you have full control over, but the background is so distracting I find it difficult to find the focus.

Tough one to judge. Looking at a spliced phone line might have had more impact being much, much closer. The focal point is lost in the cluttered background for me.

It is an interesting choice for the theme but I feel we need to move in closer to the subject and crop some of the heavily patterned background that currently overpowers the image.

engstrom0304
Nice idea for the theme. Well captured and nicely processed. Good stuff.

I like the image but am not sold on the dull colours throughout. A quick vibrancy tweak in post is in order.

The whole grey tone over the image doesn’t work for me this shot should be a lot more vibrant the back drop need some punchy greens.

Feriso
I like the take on the theme. Shame there's no eye contact with the lamb, and that dry stone wall is a bit impinging, but it's not an easily controlled situation.

It's a nice moment captured but the composition needs work. A tighter crop, removing the wall on left would add more impact.

A great choice for theme and well captured its just the wall that spoils it maybe just crop it out.

GSXRMovistar
I like the marble on the fingertip idea. I'm in two minds as to whether the face is a distraction, but I think the concentration adds to the overall impact.

Well lit, good DOF use and a tight composition all help to make this an interesting take on the theme

A nice fun image for the theme that is well captured, what concentration!

Guitarman0
I used to have one of these, though mine was a surfer :p Nice image, though perhaps a little cramped - a little space would improve it for me.

Converting to B&W has not added anything to the shot; rather you have lost the lovely metallic shine. For me the post has been taken too far on this occasion.

Has this been converted to BW ? There is something that doesn’t sit right about the metal surface.

Lunawolfy
The idea's there, but it's falling down on the execution - nasty grey background. Not the sort of thing you'd want on your wall is it?

Lots of simple tweaks could improve this shot. Like the white balance, angle of shot and framing of the droplet.

The idea is clear for the theme but the execution is letting the image down, the WB is off and the composition feels awkward too.

Mr.Stu
A little tenuous on the theme connection for me, but I like the shot.

It's graphic in composition but there needs to be some tension to balance out all that empty space.

This is a really nice shot well composed and great colours but it is clutching at straws a little for the theme.

NorthstaNder
Good link to the theme. Just feel it could do with a touch of love in processing.

Knockout macro shot there. The DOF on the eye is just off but a minor nitpick on an overall great image. Excellent stuff.

Very nice market and great choice for the theme, a little bit of PP helps to make the image pop.

Red.5ive.Oh
I wouldn’t let my gf anywhere near that many plates :p Fun image, though it’s not going to win any artsy awards.

Lots to like here, it's got movement, lighting and a great idea behind it all. My only niggle is the setting, a restaurant setting would have absolutely nailed it.

At first I thought this was a shot of a waitress doing some impressive balancing work but on further inspection I can make out the kitchen cabinets behind which was a little disappointing but still a great image with lots of motion.

Wedge
Not sure this is really balance for me?? Shame the club movements aren't a bit more even, and the processing is leaving halos all over the place. Still, not a simple thing to shop together.

Looks good and a nice idea for the theme. I'd have added a reversed ND grad on there to kill some of the foreground light spill so you blend into the background more. Great stuff.

Nice image and an interesting choice for theme which does work in a way, the only down side is the uneven capture of the club but it is a good attempt at a difficult technique.
