The theme is 17 days old and only one comment, the competition is defiantly struggling this year, very little interest, and a wrath of entries at the last minute, Me included.

Not sure what to do about it mind :(

You could try doing away with the theme and just have a best photo of the week/month and see how that goes for a bit?
Only issue with that is what is deemed 'best', the Technical and possibly Impact scores could be applied but without relevance to a theme marking would become even more subjective.

I see the main issue with the comp being that many may not feel motivated to enter each month unless they start at the beginning of the year and are able to get a full 12 entries in.

For me it is a bit of fun but mainly motivation to get and out and use the camera regularly (well at least once a month) which is all good.

That being said I'm struggling again with this months theme which I can only blame myself as I choose it! :p

Im entering this months! first time ever......did a shoot yesterday that fits this well.

ps the text in the OP needs to be edited as it still refers to round 9.

I like the idea, especially the themes, it does make you think, and possibly explore an area you've not looked at before.

The only issue I actually have is that I cannot think of anything geeky, but not stereotypical atm :(

I recall saying I had ideas for previous compos but always end up forgetting to shoot something for the compo :(

It's a shame there has been a drop in general traffic in this sub forum, especially with the competition. Maybe it needs promoting more? Must say I do prefer the current setup of a monthly theme and something to work towards/get you thinking about rather than a "best photo wins, no theme" type approach. If it ended up like that I'd most likely get bored and not enter unless I happened to come across a shot that looked appealing enough.

Having said all that, the less people that enter, the more chance I have at coming higher in the leader board lol :p
