OCUK Please HELP!

Hey guys,My EVGA GTX 670 FTW edition died today,This is the second card in 7 months that has no died on me,I had a gigabyte 670 at first it died in 4 months and i got told to go for a different brand like evga and i payed more money towards it and now this one has died 3 months later.This is the second one i have had replaced and i'm getting no where with ocuk support unfortunately as they are usually fantastic.


Because I've had it for 7 months not 6,Ocuk are not willing to do me in store credit/refund so i can pick a different card/pay more towards one as i do not want the 670 again,As i clearly don't have much luck with a GTX 670.


Please understand my frustration as this is the second card that has died,and i no longer would like to continue to have another card that would possibly die on me again in under 12 months as 2 have died in 7 months :/


Is there any OCUK employee that can help me or point me in the right direction please?

Make a post in the Customer Service section asking for 5UB or Bailey, they seem to be the most helpful in my opinion and experience ;D
 
Thats very unlucky have 2 cards die in short period, maybe its something else in your system killing them, faulty PSU maybe, ide look into whats causing it before ya throw another card in and cross ya fingers.

Already replaced the PSU from a 650 bronze to a 850 Gold after the first one died as i thought that,and it's not that because I've tryed my brothers GPU.

His works fine :) Wish i had better luck!

It just sucks that after the first one died i spent extra money towards the EVGA version after been told from a OCUK employee,That EVGA are very reliable to have this one die on me 3 months later :(

I also tryed my card in my brothers pc and i had the same issue so it has to be the card.

Always confuses me at the 5UB mention, he offers great CS, but he generally doesn't deal with the returns section? He's more pre-during sale?
Unless I'm mistaken, but every single time it's an RMA/Warranty it's always Bailey, and occasionally Killer.

I wasn't sure about 5UB dealing with it, but I dealt with Bailey and he was excellent :cool:

Indeed, Bailey's always been helpful for me (As has 5UB) but my encounters are all generally with Bailey, it just seems he rarely ever gets the recognition lol.

Same with Killer UK (Though I've literally only dealt with him a handful of times)

Generally whichever part you're posting on of the CS is very quick for a response, there's the odd moment that they're extremely busy, but compared to competitors? OCUK's CS response is lightning fast.

I completely agree, however he is deputy manager I believe (or something like that)
 
This is such a grey area but one would say that morally they should give you an advance replacement or at least a B grade unit?

I hope you get it sorted.
 
i had bailey also and i filled out both review sites he asked me to do because he was very helpful, although eitehr your very unlucky to have two cards from two different makers to die or there is something very wrong in your system

It's my luck,My brother has a 7950 and i used it on my system and it's perfectly fine.

I'll keep everyone posted on what happens. Thanks all!
