Lesson learned, in future good idea to fit certain cables first before installing the cooler.

yes the CPU power cables can be fun, i like to plug them in there fit the board

Bios bit has me confused.
So I enter bios, set default, save and exit.
Then update bios, enter bios set default, save and exit again?

yes. some times when you update bios it can turn on and off options. is i always find it bet to just reset to default.

Also just realised I can check ram speed in the task manage/ performance tab.

If I have 64gb 6000/CL30 ram should it state 6000mhz in the performance tab?

it would yes, but you will 100% have to turn on the setting in bios
