Isn't this a bit pointless..? Perhaps pointless is a bit harsh but locking the thread so that OcUK customers are unable to make comments or enquiries doesn't seem to be a great idea imo.

For example, for the OcUK Ultima Extreme HD 4870X2 Core2 Duo review the reviewer only tried Crysis at High settings rather than Very High. Is this because (as it seems to me) that the framerate was a bit pants at Very High settings..?

And what's the point in having a Review section if we have to start a new thread in here to ask questions?

dr.sarf works for OcUK, the reviews section is just for employees to post reviews of products as far as I know rather than a general review section. If you want to post a review of the product then you can do so in the relevant sub-forum, for a PC that would be in General Hardware. You can also submit comments for the product rating system on the store website itself - provided the review is fair in the comments and balanced it should appear.

So it is pointless then. Why pay any attention to the Review section if you can read unbiased reviews in the review parts on the main Overclockers site? It does go into more detail with benchmarks and so on but why only include Crysis at High settings? The first thing that many people look for in a review is a system's performance on Very High settings.

because these reviews mainly come out as the stuff is listed or are for specific hardware configs

Because the reviews on the shop site are not unbiased. They don't put the negative ones up. ;)

Negative reviews aren't published, only positive ones are.

And the whole point of the reviews section was multiple pics. Sadly, the OCUK site laks at the moment is more detailed pics etc.
