Depends on what your sending back, in the past they have been fairly quick, turn around within a week, but at the moment my GPU is faulty and needs to be sent to XFX for repair / replacement which will take a few weeks.
 
Depends how busy they are with returns atm. Pretty much everything is technician tested before they take any action which means you join a que.
 
Cpu's die very rarely, what leads you to conclude that the cpu is at fault?

The terms of the warranty on them are quite restrictive too if Intel want to be difficult.
