OCUK RTX4060TI review thread

massive F, my only hope is they at least make a 4060 ti itx card this time, the 3060 i have has terrible performance. no doubt all the AIB's will stick unnecessarily giagantic coolers on them for no reason at all.
There have been several ITX-sized 4060 and 4060 Ti models shown already.

So anyone have a link to the video before it was removed ? As it was probably hidden only and can still be downloaded, like to see what was said for this comedy 4060ti release.
That's the link, but it's been set to private. This was the original video title for posterity:

if nvida hadnt bumped all the cards numers up a tier to charge more money for worse cards this could have been the 4050 ti and compared against the similar 3050 card of the last gen and it wouldnt look like such ****, but they would have to drop the price and ngredia dont like that so here we are

Just listened to JayzTwoCents review, oh my.

Really, really solid deal for $400 and saying it's great because it's 50% better than a 2060 super.

Yeah.... thought he might do that, he pre-empted this a few days ago when he made a video about how good things are looking with these 4060 cards, in it he poo poo'ed the VRam arguments by using the same arguments Nvidia are for the 8GB cards, in that they are not ultra settings or 1440P cards and that's wonderful.
Right out of Nvidia's marketing script.

Part of me thinks it was all planned, let the cameraman do the review and be the sacrificial lamb so Jay can absolve himself if it goes worse than they expect, then do an apology vid

Yeah but doesn't that do more harm than good? Someone mentioned already that he was already on the nvidia train regarding the memory prior to this video going live.

It's honestly hard to know what they were thinking. The review is absolutely glowing. There's not even minor questioning of the tiny generational uplift or the 8GB VRAM being a problem. In fact, he outright calls the card future-proof and says it could be "the new 1060" in terms of offering great value and being a card you can hold onto for years to come.

You can really say that Jay never looked at this video before it went live. It was almost cringey to watch tbh, i feel for Phil tbh.
I think he genuinely believed other reviewers were going to praise this card since it’s the only one with no price increase so far and when he realised he’s the odd one out he’s threw Phil under the bus.
