my rx 470 has been a beast and all amd cards before it been solid too to be fair

Right i did some more digging. As ive said previously i was able to get those high GPU core and mem clock with simply ammending the tuning settings in the Radeon Software.

You are right though, i didnt have the correct bios so it was reporting the old core and mem clock speed.

Anyway i found the only way i could upgrade the Bios was the following (a few YT videos JayzTwoCents mostly) i downloaded the ADMVbios update tool from techpowerup (not the AMD one or the one Gigbayte provide, as these wont work). This link: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-atiflash/

Then Download the F3 Bios from the Gigabyet site: https://www.gigabyte.com/uk/Graphics-Card/GV-R56XTGAMING-OC-6GD/support#support-dl-bios From the Zip file get the flash.bin file from this directory: FLASH_R56XTGO.F3\BIOSFILE and use that as the bios file with the amdvbios tool.

Bobs your uncle, correct bios now instaleld and reporting correctly in GPU-Z and any other tool. It now shows as 017.001.000.068.000000 and the speeds show as

JRtjKs1

Again can tweak the radeon tuning options to get more out of memory assuming it plays ball as it did with mine.
