£250-300?

Below £400,even historically adjusted for inflation I have never spent anywhere that much on any single component. The only component I can see myself spend that kind of money on is a monitor, since they last for 5~10 years. But,OTH I don't really care as much if I have to drop details or have to play single player games at between 30~60FPS. I literally completed most of Cyberpunk 2077 at qHD at around 30FPS,as I was getting in the ealy 40FPS range at 1080p.

Edit!!

Even if I was to stretch my budget,we all know the RRP is a load of BS anyway and is false to "pretend" the GPU is cheaper than it is. Expect it to be another stealth price increase over the 5700XT.

Watching the reviews, the consensus seems - its a good card, about 30% faster than the 5700XT and about 7% slower than the RTX 3070 - BUT, the price is about $30 higher at MSRP than it really should be, as for $20 more , the RTX 3070 MSRP is better. Apparently availability should be better than previously, but likely will sell out very quickly.

What could there possibly be to rave about.

Midrange card in a supply crisis and AMD has been joining Nvidia in jacking the prices so it gets doubly overpriced by the time you get your mitts on one.

Neither AMD or Nvidia is in a position where making peasant priced cards looks like an excellent use of silicon and probably not going to change for another year at least.

I like the way Jay introduces his graphics cards reviews as “In today’s edition of **** you can’t buy” :D

I wouldn't take it even if someone gives it to me, I take only Radeon RX 6800 XT and up.
Soon, we will see leaks about the new generation, so maybe even Radeon RX 7800 XT and up.

It seems like a better buy than the RX6800 at MSRP but it's not exactly the budget champion we've been looking for. Plus availablity. Better move quick when they hit the digital shelves to get one under £700.
