You have not seen it in person. :p

It looks rubbish in the pictures, but oh my, I was in love in person. :p

The internals are where this case goes mental, complete re-think on cooling, and I really do hope it works as it may be the first in a long line of low CFM cases. :)

This is the first case to get my excited since the v1000 way back.

Before that it was the Savrow SR71, and before that I was still ATCs'ing it up. With Dragons before.

Main cases for me for the evolution of my main rig, lots of contenders come into my bedroom but very few last the night. ;)

Yeh I was the same in the pictures, until Cebit and then it just looks 'right'.

But its just the whole look when your within 20m of the thing, like the v1000+ and Akasa Eclipse it has a prescence.

I know that sounds sad, but you notice the PC with these cases, P180 is another one although to a lesser degree.

I will be the first one to slate this if it does not live up to my expectations as I have such high hopes for this case.

Do not be surprised if its for sale sometime next week though.

Expect a copy of my v1000 review if you were around.

More pics than are on the whole internet expected shortly after receiving the case.

More after putting a rig in.

More after cable tidying.

Hopefully it lives up to my expectations, if it can I will be one happy happy guy. :D

Incase anyone is reading it, this is like my Conroe and new Graphics card, but first for 2 years. ;)

I'll be watching for the review, not that I'll be buying one to replace any of my cases. The photo's do look a little dull and I don't really like cases with doors, I know Lian Li's look twice as good in the flesh. Although I wish they would get a better looking logo, that plastic thing they slap on the cases just doesn't fit in. The V1000's badge is nicer.

take it you didnt see the review of it in CustomPC mate, didnt get the greatest of write ups, build quality as always is supposed to be great, but the cooling sysytem is supposed to be way to overcomplacated and not very effective. a long way off the P180.

I own a pc 7 by the way

they only gave it a bad right up coz they never seem to set the internals of a pc right

They reviewed the Mirage as having an aluminium front.

Reviews mean nothing to me, I like to make my own opinion up on a case as you can't know its ins and outs in a afternoon.

Whats the betting the did not experiment with 20 fans to find the best pairing, or try reversing the ariflow.

I think it was CustomPC that reviewed the v1000+ and put the rear fan blowing the wrong way then complained about temperatures.

The case may indeed be a load of rubbish, but that 'review' has no credability by my books, many a thing reviewers rate I personally slate as for cheaper there is better for its intended market.

Take what I say or what the mag says when I do my write up, but it wont be finnished for at least a week of solid use; I dont mind if people say my write up on the case is a load of rubbish as ultimately I purchased the case for me to use, not a sample im looking at for a couple of hours. To me my own opinion is all that matters and I have been **** over by reviewers of cases well over 10 times in the last 12 months so I don't bother anymore, Stacker 830 rules!!! No it does'nt, a higher than not proportion have side panel issues, that is not a good case.

The S80 is a refined cooling solution, the same as a Windy case and the next step up from a v1000+ really, you wont get one cooling like a Eclipse ever, but the temperatures are not the point, the adequate cooling on 10cfm has gotten me drooling.

Sorry for the rant, not aimed at you but at some reviewers, I only trust reviews from people who own the case of their own choice, otherwise its a load of rubbish to me really, to many reviews have been off in the past. :)

Just watched the little annimation of the air flow on the Lian-Li website, it gave me a headache :( no idea how or if that is supposed to work! I look forward to it all becoming clear in your review! I'll stick to the basics of a big fan front and back for now!

I've dropped a line to the Editor, asking who reviewed the case, where they sourced it from and if/why their's had an aluminium front.

Something similar happened in a Mountain Bike review magazine about 10 years ago - it turns out they had some freelance journalist who was writing reviews from the manufacturer's literature and for some reason best known to himself he slagged off a particularly good Marin. He got fired, the Editor resigned and the magazine was taken off the shelves after another few months. He's probably writing for Custom PC now....
