NOTE: I still need identifier info from Adsta.

The First OcUK Starcraft 2 Tournament is ready to go. The structure is finalised, and shown in the post below.


The Group Stage

Players are assigned to one of 4 groups. Two players from each group will proceed into the quarter finals of the tournament.

Each member of each group will play a single game against each of the other players in the group, on the set day. The map will be selected out of a group of five, with no two of your matches being on the same map. These maps will be:

Lost Temple
Blistering Sands
Metalopolis
Xel'naga Caverns
Kulas Ravine

Any ties for qualifying places after all matches are complete will be decided by an ace match.

If you are unable to play at the day/time given, let me know ASAP so I can make alternative arrangements.


I'd dearly love to spectate all of the matches, but group matches will be played simultaneously. So the time investment for each player of each group will only be 4 matches' worth. For this reason, I will be relying on the winner of each match to save and provide a replay of their match so that I can record and post the result with a replay.


The Quarter-Finals

The 8 successful players from the group stage will be entered into the quarter finals. Each pair will play a Best Of 3, starting with Lost Temple. The losing player then determines the next map. You may choose any map from the 1v1 league maps.

These matches will be played seperately, so anyone (entered or not) interested in spectating any matches from the quarters onwards, feel free to join. I'd prefer if you could me know in advance of the day that you want to spectate, so I can make sure that you're in.


The Semi-Finals

The 4 successful players from the quarter-finals will progress to the semi finals. Each pair will play a Best Of 5, starting again with Lost Temple. The losing player determines the next map.


The Grand Final

The last 2 players standing will face off in a Best Of 7, starting with Lost Temple. As before, the losing player determines the next map. This will determine the Winner of the Tournament and the Runner-Up.

If the others in Group Two are happy to play your games earlier then by all means, go for it. If you could organise and send me the replays then that would be fantastic :). I wont have a chance to set up games in SC2 over the next couple days..

If there's a problem, and you are free next Tuesday evening, then assuming everyone else is ok with it we can do your whole group on Tuesday with group 4. Same could go for wednesday.

Sorry guys, was a bit ambiguous. Indie your slot is next tuesday, scott yours is on saturday. However, now that the draws are out, we know that some people arent able to make their assigned times. The best solution for everyone seems to be to play the games that can't happen on the day whenever possible between now and the 18th.

So far I think everyone in group 4 is still fine for next tuesday. Scott, I think Nerusy won't be able to make saturday, so you might have to play a game against him on thursday/friday next week if that's ok. Likewise for any other members of your group.
 
Regarding what to do when matches are completed,

Maybe it's easiest if you can upload the replay to a file hosting site and post a link and the winner in this thread. I'll then compile all of the replays and the results into the main posts. :) I'll edit the top post with this info now.


EDIT: To all those who've already played their games, can you please make a new post with the name of the winner and the replay please, then I'll be able to start compiling results :)

Perhaps there'll be some sort of prize in future events, but for now i'd like to keep it purely casual and fun :) very kind offer though, thank you :D

If there are no games submitted with Adsta by this weekend, Group One will get automatic wins. Otherwise, the match we need to get in Group One is Sparky__H vs booyaka for a complete set.
