Hiya

I have purchased one of the OcUK Solar cases for my wife, she has always wanted a pink case.

Now I know most of you will think uuuurrrrghhhh PINK! Cos I do myself.

My plans are to spray the front fascia pink and add a window to the case side, and add a pink layout to the inside of the case too.

Maybe even install a red/pink cold cathode tube also.

I have been and got the pink paint today from B&Q and have started.

More info to follow soon.....

Here are a few pics, of the first layer of paint going on.

2nd layer of paint has now been applied, its starting to look good, the pink is more evenly layered. I am planning on doing another 2 layers.

I have not taken any more pics yet, cos there is not much else to see.

I have tested the paint I have on the inside of one of the side panels. I am not sure how it will work on the outside of the panel due to the finish. So I am not sure what to do with that yet.

LOL @ my newspaper too :)

Make sure to give it a good gloss coat at the end too. 2 or 3 thin layers just like the colour coat to keep it smooth.

Really enhances the look and makes it much less prone to chipping (which it probably will anyway). I picked up a little touch up bit of paint when I did mine that matched the colour I was spraying the case. If you bought your spray paint in a car shop they generally have the touch up paint sets for most of the colours. They look like permanent markers and just have a small paint brush inside.

I have now painted the inside panel which sits behind the removable motherboard tray.

And I have also applied the 3rd layer of pink to the fascia and the bay bezals.

I had a friend who very cheaply modded the outside of this case, all he did was stuck pink fur on both sides... mind you it got a lot hotter after the mod
