had an unauthorised access into one of our systems tonight

which i've only been able to pull an IP address from 188.30.112.48

now the only information i can glean is that this originates somehwere in Nottingham city centre.

any of the more techincal members able to shed more light on this?

I would buy a flash light and head to the city centre.
 
As you have the IP... raise it to the rozzers as surely the intrusion falls under the misuse of computers act and therefore... criminal. You have the IP and the broadband provider so surely its a good start?

Curious that depending which lookup you use the location varies from Sneinton to Ashby de la Launde which is 40 miles apart

already logged a crime report with Notting ham police, funnily enough we do have ex employee who is currently residing 27 miles away from the lat and long coordinates that come back from searching the IP address.
