Had a good couple of sessions with a few of you guys last night, so I thought it might be an idea to get a little group chat going on Steam to help us make it easier to get together more often for some VR shenanigans.

I've already invited a few of you to the group, but for those not on my friendlist, here's a link to join: https://s.team/chat/LbXqd7xs
Or just add Petey Spangles

Don't be shy, we're mostly decent people :D

Haven't tried it, but I did have QuiVR, which seems pretty similar.
Tried it with a friend in co-op and it just seemed never ending. My arm was killing me after one session and I got a refund :D

Have you tried both?

Oh, and does anyone have Arizona Sunshine? That's pretty good in horde (4 player) and co-op (2 player).

Sure, I'm not biggest fan of steam VR either.
I'm just saying that it works fine with the rift and that saying it does not natively support the rift on steam is a little misleading.

If the oculus version runs better, then that's a different matter.

Yeah, you're right. It doesn't have a 'launch in oculus VR mode' like some other titles, and it does run in steam VR mode.
I guess when you said it doesn't natively support the rift, I took it as meaning that you were saying it didn't have proper rift functionality or something.

I definitely would've got the oculus version, but the steam one was on sale at the time :D

Gentlemen, getting you lot together for a session is like herding cats :D

Shall we sort a rough plan out for this weekend and/or Friday night or something?
I'm sure most of us have a few games in common. Might even be a laugh to get a good group together in Rec Room.

Nice one, Wez :)

Tbh, out of 24 members, it's only me, Melmac and Ravenger that ever seem to post in there and get together every now and then.
Come on guys, don't be shy :)

I guess the 5v5 thing is so they don't have to worry too much about filling large lobbies and perhaps also wanting to emulate the league/esports success of Onward.
Zero Caliber is still just SP/co-op against AI.

Why do you think Contractors will fade quickly?

Personally, I want an established dev to make a polished Battlefield VR - basically a better version of the very fun, but flawed War Dust (New map out next week btw).

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. However, I'd say that it doesn't mean it won't do well. It's just a matter of it not being quite your cuppa :)
I'm not a huge fan of the 5v5 thing either tbh, although it can be pretty sweet when you've got some regular mates to squad up with.

I guess war dust is pretty much your option right now. It's got good players, average players, crap players and bots. Get some hours under your belt and you'll be ok.
Maybe you won't like large battlefields? I dunno...

Oh, and #gitgud :p
