After recent events of any tom dick or harry posting their clan on OCUK and not bothering to get to know the community, do you think we should have an offical thread with clans that are recommended for the OCUK community by the OCUK community? I'm not entirely clear on the FAQ's of clan advertising?

Any suggestions by any1? Personaly i think this thread should be stickied and i'l keep it up to date with clans which involve OCUK into it:

Prehaps

* Must say OCUK in server names
* Be inclusive
* Only be recommended by a long standing member

Prob get abuse for this post but at least it stops people spamming their clan (including me haha)
 
I'm pretty sure that an "*****official clan thread *****" would break the forum rules.

I think he means to direct people to clans if they wish which could hold clan servers to play on.
 
The harm is the typical OcUK lot trying to find a reason or creating a reason to prevent this or anything else from happening despite it's a completely harmless thing to produce, despite the fact that it will make it easier to find and join servers to play on with people from OcUK.

over the years on here ive tried and pimped a few clans and to be honest there not trying to steal ocuk custom most likely going to buy from them supporting them nets ocuk more buisness and most likely high end parts for gamers or higher than average pc man.

some clans ive been and helped run have had like 70 members in . its not peanuts and all they ask is like can we recruit or help get people on our servers which in a games section i cant see much wrong as a lot on here use these clans servers to play on
 
eh? specific game threads always contain the ip's or names of servers ocuk people play on anyway and for other games there is the steam /gfwl thread
