Are either of these any good for £40 or would it be worth paying £90ish for a second hand Nexus 7?

did you get one?

Since bringing up here i've had the idea of the rebranded Nebula one... 1gb ram 8gb flash... that not bad for the price.

I did yeah, but had to RMA it as there was a small section at the edge of the touchscreen that was unresponsive.

Before I sent it back I had a little play though. The CPU lets it down and it can be a little sluggish, especially if you're trying to multitask. Within apps though it works just fine. I tried iplayer, netflix, youtube and streaming from my server and they were all seamless. Temple run and Stick Cricket worked just fine too.

Bottom line is that it's great for £40, as long as you're aware of the limitations. Suffice to say, I've asked for a replacement rather than a refund.
