The votes are in, they've been counted and a rather heavy London Bias has been noted. Behold the OCUK Team of the season! I'm not sure any team would want to go up against this shining example of attacking flair and defensive steel!

All managed by Ronald Koeman. The Southampton manager defied all the pundits by not only avoiding relegation but actually improving on last season league position with some canny buys and good value sales.
 
Unlike most 'team of the year' selections, this actually has a pretty decent balance to it.

Arguably it'd probably be a better 'team' if you swapped Kane for someone like Costa - but on the back of his performances this year, it would have been hard to not put him in there.
 
Yeah, I saw all the voting and I'm not debating the results in any way.

Just pointing out that the result has been quite a balanced team - which is unusual for this sort of thing.

I was going to suggest someone will point out that you could shoehorn in other players if we changed the formation to 4-3-3! :D
 
Pretty good team that. Just a shame that we only consider one Englishman worthy of being in the team of the season.

Austin? Scored quite a few in a **** team and in his first season in the PL. Only 3 league goals fewer than Kane.
