OCUK Tech Labs 7970 question

so I am toying with getting this as part of a project to load a CM90ii up monster watercooling

but the description doesn't actually tell you what card you get. Does anyone know what specific make of card you get with this or is it a random selection of what ever 7970 they have floating around in stock ?

At a guess I'd say the it is the above MSI card as the clocks match. Contact ocuk to confirm?

Also, double check with them but I'm sure I've seen somewhere on here that they also supply the original cooler and box etc should you go back to air or sell on?

Provided they have stock I'm 99% certain it will be an msi oc card (1010/1375 unlocked voltage).

I asked if you get the stock cooler and was told no, just the card with waterblock fitted
Ended up buying the parts separate and doing it myself, then you can still sell the card complete (not everybody watercools)

I'm sure I've been told before that you get shipped the stock cooler too

Not unless ocuk keep a stock of the removed coolers to refit for rma reasons?

so I sent them a webnote and was told the description on the tech labs 7970 is out of date. The actual card they ship is this one

looking at the fan / shroud set up it looks like its a reference card ? If so will this card be volt unlocked by defualt or am I going to have to start messign around hard modding the board to unlock the voltages ?

Wow, HIS really? Wouldn't touch it tbh, less warranty then offered on the msi cards and rma is likely to be a kick in the teeth, though ocuk do deal with it, it still gets sent to China for a 2 month holiday.

ok back to the drawing board on the gfx card will have to fit the block myself, which I was hoping to avoid as my hands were not made for delicate jobs

I'm not very good at tricky things myself but I've recently fitted 2 waterblocks to GPUs, an AquaComputer and a WaterCool HeatKiller and both are easy to do, especially the HeatKiller, well worth a go

Gpu blocks are pretty easy to fit these days and most come with detailed fitting instructions.

I orderd one before Christmas and got a sapphire card, also got the stock cooler sent along with it.
