Hi Guys

Over the past few days I have been working on a nice update for our OcUK Tech Labs Watercooling Kits to make them better value for money, better performers and offer improved products within them.

From today onwards we are offering the following:

Radiator Updates:
All Tech Labs WC Kits will come with a choice of our fantastic Hardware Labs Black Ice Radiators. Ranging from the great value GTS Lite all the way to the new Nemesis GTX series.

These are labelled clearly on the dropdown with Standard, Advanced, Premium and Ultimate options to indicate the performance they would offer.

Fan Updates:
Our technical department and 8Pack have been using the Noiseblocker NB-eLoop Fan B12-2 (120mm/1300rpm) in all of 8Pack's systems recently and the performance has blown us away. We do suggest to pair these fans with a fan controller and run them slower for best results but the fan is a perfect match for the Black Ice Radiator range we are offering in our kits regardless of the speed you run it at. Each kit comes with the exact amount of fans you need.

Tubing Update
No cheap tubing here, all OcUK Tech Labs Kits now ship with a length of Primochill Primoflex LRT tubing. This stuff is superb and clear as glass. It also has no nasty plasticiser in it meaning there is zero chance of your loop getting gunked up with rubbish and your system will look awesome all the time!

Tubing Colour Drop Down
Now we offer a range of colours with the default being clear, coloured tubing is available on all of our kits. We would like to offer 2 meters of tubing but having the drop down means we can only offer one meter of tubing. tubing can also be purchased on our shop in additional lengths if required but one meter should be fine for a simple loop.

Pump & Reservoir Combo Options
A bunch of people asked me, so we included it also. The 120 and 240 kits originally just came with the basic XSPC 750 reservoir combo and whilst it is a decent starter product, some people wanted more extravagant solutions. I have included the D5 bay reservoir as a step up and also the photon combos for people who want an internal tube reservoir solution.
The product description has been updated to reflect that you will need to ensure your case fits the tube res also.

The rest of the offerings are pretty much the same as what wasn't broken, we didnt fix.

The other thing we did change drastically was the discount we offer.

Each kit comes with a huge saving now, even bigger than previously.

This is the perfect time to get into WC.

It is of course, the reason they aren't included is due to the extra cost involved. But, I will add them to the drop downs tomorrow.

The 140mm versions simply didn't sell. Loads of people asked for them and I think we sold about 10 in total. The 120mm standard outsells 140mm here by a country mile so our kits are now focussed back down to that.

Updating or tweaking the kits is an afternoon of work as it is. Having double the Skus turns it into a day.

Just a little suggestion, I assume you're supplying 1M of tubing? With newbs etc, for the sake of the money, would it not make more sense to provide 2M of tubing?

Noted. I'm going to add another meter to each kit as well as a tubing cutter and PSU jumper tomorrow.

In relation to the LED, I believe the raystorm comes with a blue LED, but you can use whatever led you like. I think red looks awesome on them.

Is that just for this kit or does it come with the blue in your standard 'retail' one(ie when you sell the block on it own)? I bought the block when you had the wc reduction a few weeks back(also bought the 290/290x waterblock). I'll be wanting a red led as the rest of my colour scheme is/will be red/black.

This is sold as a bundle so it just goes into our warehouse like you ordered all the parts individually. The products in the kit are just what you can buy on the site. My raystorm comes with a dual led in blue. I don't believe there is an alternative that cones in box but there may be some in the accessory list that I have missed. I will check tomorrow for you and if there is, will list and order a few led variations.

Any changes to the non-bay res combos?

All the OcUK teck labs kits come with bay reservoir pump combos to make it easier for beginners to fill, install and maintain. I may however add a photon combo to the dropdown menu at some point.

The current kits that don't have a bay resort aren't our kits. We buy them in.
Only the OcUK tech labs kits are custom specced by me.

Some options to change to SP120 fans? :)

that isnt something we will be doing. we used them before but people were demanding that we dropped them and used the NB fans instead.

the NB are more expensive so it works out a better bargain for the end user.

ok so checking on XSPC, there is a bunch of LED Wire accessories

i will have them set up in a bit and list them on the site.

Can we have coloured tubing as an option for those of us wanting to run clear fluid rather than coloured, for example after having problems with the coloured fluids?

done.

as well as a load of other changes. I have updated the OP as well with some other changes too.

but will include them here.

First thing

That's the beauty of it. Your gear from 2008 is still fully serviceable and modular. Newcomers should see a kit like this as an investment. Whilst not cheaper than every other offering, they have been picked out by someone who buys £100k of water cooling every 3 months :p

I think realistically, if you just wanted an upgrade, the nemesis GTX radiator would sort your requirements out. They are really next level in terms of build quality and performance.

Thanks will have a look at that radiator, I currently have an xspc thin one(can't remember the model, not their thicker ones that came later).

The loop will be for a 4770k with a 290x(May add a second if I get around to it) in a 750d case, will a single radiator be fine?

In a 750d a nemesis GTX 360 would handle your setup well and provide epic cooling

For a radiator cost best part of £100 you'd expect it to :p

Would the sr1 be ok? It's ~£25 cheaper and in stock, tho the in stock thing is not and issue right now as if I would be buying it wouldn't be for another couple of weeks.

In terms of fans I have the yateloon d12sh, would I need a change?

SR1 is still epic, the Yates are great fans too and would work well with any black ice rad
