We have recently updated our range of noise dampening services here to include much more variety and choice for customers.
The OcUK Tech Labs Damping foam is a proprietary variable density layered foam system designed to provide efficient acoustic noise suppression from all audible sources within your system. These mats are self adhesive for easy installation with a matt leather effect top layer for a premium look.
The way that the service works is that we have huge panels of foam in stock and when you order a noise damping kit, we cut the panels into precision sections that fit perfectly within the areas of your case that need them.
The damping foam arrives to you pre-cut and fits exactly in the planned position. It is not necessary to install all of the panels. It is more important to achieve a balance of cooling and dampening, The amount of damping to be installed depends on the hardware installed.
The more heat is exhausted from hardware, the more openings and fans are needed for its cooling. Each case opening provides a way for the sound to escape and our kits are a cheap and effective way of reducing vibrations and noise from a performance PC.
With all of our kits, there are three levels of dampening:
The first level is a basic sound damping configuration and this should be installed in the case regardless of the hardware configuration.
The first stage includes the right side panel, front part of the left side panel, upper front, the whole floor, a part of the top cover and the middle part of the backside backside.
The second level is an enhancement for system builders looking who require some airflow in their system. Side panels and other dead zones are filled with noise damping panels to reduce vibrations and muffle sound.
Second stage would include the rear part of the left side panel, the middle and the lower front.
The third level is an extreme approach for customers looking for silent computing solutions. This provides maximum coverage throughout the chassis and removes a lot of sound output.
In the last stage the fans in the top cover and the back are replaced by dampening mats.
Each OcUK Tech Labs Noise Dampening Kit is cut to order and will be delivered within 3-5 working days in a package with all the info you need to install.
