OcUK TV

Unboxing vids can be useful for showing you how something is packed. If you ever need to RMA something you can watch the video and see how it was originally done.

Took me ages to find a decent G27 vid! Thankfully I'm awesome at boxing :p

Would be nice to have reviews on more exotic products.

Unboxing are so lame. Every man and his dog can do one, youtube is full of them. And it's non-commiting. Offer no opinion on the actual performance / reliability, just show the product. I guess that's why they are so popular.

I'd like to see guides on putting together your new pc that you just bought from OCUK - I mean.. I've been doing it for years as most other people but there seems to be a lot of people who haven't. I know you can user you tube vid's but still seems a nice idea if it was the store itself showing you how to put together the parts that you just bought from them ;)

Would be good to see guides (How To's etc), product information and also perhaps some user reviews from impartial forum members.

I'd like to see tech vids for diagnosing faults and software hardware issues. You guys must get loads of returns that after you tst them you can't find anything wrong and it goes back to an end user who still has the problem and looks at OC as the guru's. From your management perspective as well this is a cost overhead to your business and less returns means more profitability.

If you can show an end to end process and especially tools that are used such as freeware tools out there that Jo Public can dl for free to help diagnose a problem or bench test a new rig to get the most out of it or even maintenance vids....then your onto a winner and you'll keep your customers.

Yeah GodMac's idea is good! I wonder though if you'd get many people look at them even if something is up - most people panic when somethings wrong with their build.

Would be a good idea to do some videos on showing how people can test for tips, although saying that I think you get a pretty good response on the forums...

I'm not sure you guys need an OCUK review system, plenty of other sites exist purely for reviewing (not just talking TTL's youtube) but Bit-tech, anandtech, johnnyguru etc...

In an odd way as well, no offence to you guys at OCUK, but the things that I love about TTL and Anandtech, are that TTL is impartial, and will often find flaws - sure he has favourites but so does everyone, and Anandtech I can go to for simple graphs for absolutely all the comparisons between GPU's/CPU's, power usage etc...

I would watch un-boxings and product reviews from ocuk I agree there are a lot on the net already but if it can be done a bit more professionally than a guy with a wobbly camera it would attract people to watch imo!

JoeUK makes a good point regarding people panicing when things go wrong. No one wants a system fault, the pain, the anguish and the fear of loosing data. Therefore here are my tips for what I'd like to see from a OCUKTube TV channel:

1, Diagnosis Process - Sub areas for Mobo, CPU, RAM...etc
2, The Download Link - Obtain a hard copy of the diag process. Not all ppl have the pleasure of multi PC's so a failed system is a cut off to the Net.
3, Unpacking and Repacking and the RMA Process
4, Tech Tips - Best Practice PC Maintenance, Hardware Care, Monitoring you Rig "Keep it Cool"...etc
5, Overclocking Build Tips - get the most out of your HW - Water Cooling, FSB Ratios, Best Chips for Clocking, GPU OC, To Fry or Not To Fry!!!
6, Security - Best Practice Tips on System Security, Top Internet Security Solutions, What is a Virus, Trojan etc, How to get rid of Fake AntiVirus messages, Back up Your Data and Recover it Quick - Best Practice Tips and Tools
7, OcUK School - Want to Learn about new Tech, SSD, DDR4, Blue Ray, Wireless, learn all about it here from the OcUK Pros.
8, Events - Get all the know on latest events from GAMEfest, Computer Fare in your Area, ComicCon, Men & Motors - Buy a Asus 950GTX 2048 Phantom Spanker (£748 RRP) and meet the M&M Babes!

I'm sure there are more that could be added but I know I be on there regularly. And I'd be buying the Phantom Spanker to see the M&M babes :P
