The OcUK technical team are passionate about what we do, we believe that our system range should reflect our own enthusiasm.

Being a Hardware enthusiast is a big part of working at OcUK, we have taken our time and pooled together ideas to present you with a new range of flagship systems for the new year based on the latest performance hardware.

These systems have been chosen to reflect our own individual preferences in hardware and also represent reccomendations on our favourite current hardware.
But its not just all performance, a good looking system is just as important as a high performance system. So each 'Signature Series' system will incorporate great looks, matching colour schemes, and stylish presentation.
We are quickly gaining a reputation for building to a standard that we would build our own systems to and we want to take it much further with this range.

Each system concept has been individually designed to offer extreme performance but with a personal touch. Not only that but when your system is built it will then undergo an extended comprehensive testing and configuration process.

Each individual system in the range will be listed with the name of the technician who designed it. This makes every system individual and something that OcUK can be proud to offer.

the system is aimed at gamers so 8gb isnt really needed

plus the overclocks stated are just conservative estimations at the moment.

please remember that this is intended as our flagship range.

This is the foundation for us maybe looking at making something called a Dream PC in the coming 18 months.... maybe....

You say each machine is a signature of each system builder/technician? This one as far as I have seen does not have a name associated with it.. so I can only assume that this is your love child?

craig came up with the name and concept for the nighthawk, it is designed for outright gaming performance, i think he chose the components well to make a balanced 'all rounder'

Why a single 160GB SSD instead of 2x80GB in RAID0? Looks pretty sweet though.

well i currently have a pair of 80gbs in my system and the performance degredation through lack of TRIM is pretty bad.

example:
500MB/s+ read speads when new
210MB/s+ read speeds after 2 months use

i dont even want to discuss the write speeds

i am moving to a single 160gb drive soon myself as the latest firmware actually improves the 160gb's performance and keeps it performing that well

this is an important aspect to consider when selling a warrantied system like this, especially when you consider the premium nature of it.

raiding ssds without trim would be irresponsible of us, like i said in the opening post. a lot of time, effort, testing and careful consideration has gone into every aspect of these new systems. i think my team have done a great job in developing something that OcUK can be proud to call our flagship range.

but you wouldnt expect anything less from me now would you?

i dont understand why people are saying this machine is underspecced?

it is a gaming pc, designed from the ground up to handle every game at max res
it has a pair of 5870 cards!
the overclock is a guideline atm [until i get my hands on one]

the next few systems will cover other aspects such as workstation, allrounder etc

wait until you see the i7 bohemouth that i specced - we have it currently on a 975, but are eagerly awaiting the arrival of gulftown,
it will be the difinitave, ultimate system and undoubtably the fastest most capable computer that you can purchase
needless to say, we are ready to lead the market with it.

we have to offer the thermaltake, its something different and is considered by many to be an innovative thing

judging by the amount of divinity systems we have sold, i would say that our 'high end enthusiast buyers' would agree

why are there no lian-li cases for the flagship builds yet

a well noted point of consideration

put quite simply, lian li cases [especially the larger ones]
dont ship well

we used the old [larger] armoursuit a while back and it got decimated in transit, not through fault of our packing or the courier, it just seemed that every lian case we shipped returned three days later in bits. they are great cases but not ideal for system integration...

having said that, myself and Yewen are currently working on aleternative specialist solutions for the signature series, so lian li cases may make an appearance. maybe

in reference to the memory, Dominator GT is the best kit on the market, simple as that. i have a sample kit of gt able to run 2133mhz, at near ddr2 timings, which is frankly rather insane

get the 160gb, thats what im doing, it is much better in the long run.

my 80gbs in raid were fantastic, but the perfdeg is terrible

a 160gb intel with the latest FW is the way to roll

people are going on about these flagship systems not having raid, well i have used both and essentially reccomend what is best in the long term as an investment to the customer

no point fleecing customers for RAID if 6months down the line it is too slow to show its benefits - a prime example is the 'dream PCs' from our competitors, all they have done is slapped as many SSDS as they can in their machines so they eat benchmarks.
