I'm looking for a monitor for my sister, ideally she wanted a 17", but as there isn't much choice I was wondering about a 19" WS, specifically the OcUK Value AH191DPB 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black/Silver.

Anyone have one or would recommend it over more expensive models? Usually I wouldn't look twice at one like this but there seem to be favourable views on here for other HannStar monitors so I assume this will be the same.

She will be using it for browsing and video.

Thanks :)

Any one have any more info on this. Or any suggestions on another cheap but resonably good 19" WS?

Thanks

:)

Ive got 2 of the Hanns-g 19" widescreen they are a great monitor for the price. No dead pixels and only slight backlight bleeding on one of the monitors. Colour representation is good and there is no ghosting in games or movies. You do have to tone down the default brightness and contrast settings though!!

Would fully recommend them to anyone wanting a cheap 19" monitor.

Yeah thats the one the specs do look very similar to the one that you originally posted about. However I have not heard anything about that monitor.

There is a very large thread on the hanns-g 19" widescreen in this forum somewhere that might be worth a quick scan if you can find it.
