Just saw the ram listed on this weeks offer. Has anyone had any experience with ocuk ram? Is spending another 20 quid for the ripjaw worth it for the extra fps or best put towards a better card. I know the ripjaw is excellent quality and comes with the nifty heatsink but at that price the ocuk looks like a steal.

Do you plan on doing any kind of overclocking in the future? OcUK value stuff is good value if you just want whats written on the tin. If you want more than that, spend more!

An old phrase - "You get what you pay for." works a lot with PC bits.

*edit* - Often on cheaper memory, the timings will be wider. If you do HD stuff or heavy image/video editing, then memory timings can make a difference. Expensive stuff often has better warranty as well, longer or just on better terms. Its honestly up to you.

Yea, i was using some old value stuff I had lying around with my E8400. Seriously hampered my overclocking so upgraded to some decent OCZ Flex RAM and could clock much higher.

I know your looking at DDR3 and that was DDR2 but basic idea is the same. If your going to be overclocking I'd say go for the Ripjaw, or the Geil Ultras on this week only :p
