Some people... For the price, I'd say yes. Not sure what else you'd find for £60. GTS 250, HD 4850 maybe... Relatively speaking, it's a bit power hungry and quite big. It also needs 2x 6 pins PCI-E power connectors. I used to have a BFG 9800 GTX+, And it was good. Except it didn't like the 1920 x 1200 resolution much.

The warranty is a worry though. 3 months is really not a lot, but since it won't even be used for gaming :/

Maybe you could score on the second hand market. If that's an option.

I just got a 5750 somewhere else for £46, similar thing as this (being sold as end of line/batgains). Has a small warranty on it etc.
I suppose this card (9800 gtx) will be good for what you want but the power supply will have to be a good one (for the 2x 6pin pcie connectors) so think about that.

Overpriced. Shop around on the second hand market and you could get yourself a GTX 260 for that price which would be miles better.

you can get a new 5750 for around £60-£70 if you shop around.

a 5750 is as powerful or acually slighly even more powerful than the 9800GTX
