OcUK Zen3 review thread

no people were moaning i used the 5800 instead of the 5950 so there is a proven benchmark showing its no faster than intel at games.

Ok. overall, with 3 big wins out of those 11.

they are level over 11 games. yet the amd cpu costs £150 more. haha its really funny as amd people normally say no value with intel yet its the other way round now and you championing amd for doing a intel. really is funny.

the real gaming champ here is the 10600k. what a great gaming cpu for the money.

did you not read they are level over 11 games ? as the reviewer said . i will give you a little bit of leeway. £150 more for the amd cpu for level performance or.....1 percent more fps. within benchmark error they basically the same. with the highest end amd which is dearer by 150 pound.

even the 10600k is £40 cheaper than the new 5600x and faster generally in games. makes no sense lol.

Even if the above was true in all games, which it is not..... No value add for the way AMD wipe the floor in productivity then?

Yes. Like with everything else the devil is in the detail, Intel's biggest win is 6%, AMD's is 13%.

You don't think that matters?

My take is the 10400F is only 19% slower and 476% cheaper than a 5950X so are intel chips like the 10400F now the go to gaming chips for most people or is it worth paying over double for even the cheapest Zen 3?

Everyone argued this with Zen 2 vs intel 11th gen so now that AMD lead in performance but with higher prices doesn't the same apply now or does price performance now not matter as AMD have a lead?.

The 5950X is a terrible value gaming cpu. You can get most of the fps with a much cheaper CPU.

But it is the ultimate desktop CPU if you can afford it. It gives top gaming performance and is the best non-HEDT for work also.

im on about games. which many here want them for. the value is with intel which is funny as its often the AMD go to arguement.

I want to see what extra performance a Ryzen 5000 CPU, 500 series motherboard and Radeon 6000 GPU offer.

The glorious 5-5-6 build.

If what you're looking for is a budget gaming chip the 10400F is a contender, if you're looking for the best performance it isn't.

oh..my just add in the CSGO benchmark again. if you only adding in bias benchmarks no point. its already been shown over numerous games on avg they literally even. so for gaming it comes down to price now to what to go for.

thing is if the gouging was off they would probably be priced similar to intel cpus. for the lower end amd this would make sense.

I agree it's not necessarily a huge gaming lead for AMD. I do, however, have a small issue with these 2 reviews using 3200mhz RAM when this is clearly not optimal for the Ryzens.
