How long should my cpu take to complete 1 frame?

This depends on the project number of the WU. It could range from 2 minutes to an hour, depending on the WU's size. What's the project number given in your log?

If you get a copy of FahMon, you can get benchmarks like this for yourself:)

Project : 1808
Core : Amber
Frames : 100
Credit : 153

-- BLUE --

Min. Time / Frame : 12mn 17s - 179.36 ppd
Avg. Time / Frame : 12mn 27s - 176.96 ppd

there's nothing THAT wrong with the GUI - the cores do all the actual work so it's the same speed anyway

however the GUI does have a few issues (namely unreliable ETAs on many work units, a tendancy to minimise games, the fact it will stop running if you log off) which do make the console a better choice for a lot of people

The GUI is good for beginners though - so you can see what's actually going on :)

welcome to the team by the way

I'll draw you the learning curve for folding,

it goes like this................................................_______________________
...................................................................|
...................................................................|
...................................................................|
...................................................................|

gui my arse

If you have the GUI minimised there's no performance deficit at all. But the other advantages of the console (less memory used, doesn't crash) make it worth it IMO.
