How do i connect my oculus when my graphics card has only Hdmi port

I have a 1080 TI gig ,
  • Display Outputs: 3 x DisplayPort 1.4, 1x HDMI 2.0b, 1x DL-DVI
I have a hdmi on my motherboard but for some reason , im getting no display to show/

Assuming you are using your 1080Ti's HDMI port for your monitor (and if it doesn't take DP directly), I would use a DP>HDMI adapter for the monitor and then use the HDMI port on Ti for your Rift. A lot of people do it that way I believe.

I have a free hdmi spot on my motherboard z170-E , im trying to run my monitor from that , assuming i can? but can get a display to show . tried downloading vga driver but get the message computer doesn't meet the requirments;/

Hmm.. has the on-board graphics been enabled in your bios?

As said, get a displayport to HDMI adapter, use that for anything that isn't the Rift. If you get the right adapter it may also work with the Rift, but generally that setup is only recommended for the R9 295X2, which doesn't have any HDMI.

I went for displayport adapter since i have 3 on my graphics card , btw will it display 4k?

I managed to get it to work with by going into the bios and enabling the onboard video , on board connected to monitor , and VR connected to graphics card hdmi
,but this only would work with oculus home and not steam VR , played some Robo Recall with super sampling on high and wow im blown away :)
