Hi

My son has an Oculus Quest 1 and the strap has broken. I am trying to find a new strap but am struggling a bit. Only really finding Quest 2 options or straps off some obscure websites that I have never heard of.
Could anyone help please, doesn't have to be an original one, something more comfortable would be great.

Thanks
Gwyn

The Quest 1 wasn't designed for easily replacable straps unfortunately, so there aren't that many replacement straps out there.
The best one was the Vive deluxe headstrap coupled with 3D printed mounting brackets, but that's expensive, even if you can get hold of it.
It's possible you might be able to find some 3D printed mounts that allow you to use the various Quest 2 headstraps though - if not, someone should design them!

Thanks very much for your reply. Looks like a repair will be the best option.

If you google Kiwi Quest 1 custom headstrap. You should find one available in the UK.

@Ravenger 's recommendation above is probably the most comfortable replacement. The Vive Deluxe audio strap and some 3d printed mounts are also readily available. If you search Frankenquest you will get some ideas. However, the Vive DAS is expensive and I feel if you are going to spend that much money, you might as well go the whole way and get a Quest 2.

Thanks for the info. The Kiwi headstrap is just the strap, unfortunately the strap has snapped on the right just where it comes out of the headset. Like you both say, the Vive one is expensive. Better get out the glue lol.

Sorry man, if that's where it's broken then you wouldn't be able to put the Vive strap on either :(

Hope you can get it repaired. My experience with glue is that it's great at sticking anything to anything apart from the two things you are actually trying to stick together!! :p:)
